Mr. Walter E. Grazer
Policy Advisor for Religious Liberty, Human Rights, and European Affairs, and Director, Environmental Justice Program, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
Walter E. Grazer is currently Policy Advisor for Religious Liberty, Human Rights, and European Affairs, and Director of the Environmental Justice Program for the United States Catholic Conference. Formerly, he served as Deputy Director for Migration and Refugee Services, and also as Policy Advisor for Food, Agriculture, and Rural Development at the Conference. He has worked for the U.S. Catholic Conference for 25 years.
Prior to his service at the USCC, he directed the Social Ministry Program of the Diocese of Richmond after working for the City of Richmond’s Commission on Human Relations and the Richmond Community Action Program. He is co-editor with Rev. Drew Christiansen, S.J. of And God Saw That It Was Good: Catholic Theology and the Environment.
Mr. Grazer holds an M.A. in International Relations, a M.S.W. in social work and a B.A. in philosophy.
