Mr. Bjorn Fischer
Business Development Manager, The Climate Trust

Bjorn Fischer is an economist and consultant with 10+ years in the private and non-profit sector. At The Climate Trust, Bjorn’s position as Business Development Manager focuses on implementing a growth strategy to expand their services nationwide.

Before joining the Trust in September 2005, he was Key Account Manager at 500PPM, a German emission trading and consulting company with offices in Washington DC, Karlsruhe and Hannover. His responsibilities were to market, develop and operate business models that utilize climatic protection in marketing and in sustainable management. 500PPM developed, e.g., the carbon footprint program for World Bank employees at their Washington DC headquarters to offset their emissions from air travel. His international experience includes economic and environmental research and project management in Kenya and Trinidad & Tobago.

Bjorn holds a graduate degree in Business Economics and Asset Management from Ratingen-Hoesel Boarding School, Germany, and the Chamber of Commerce Cologne, Germany, and a Master of Science in International Management from Maastricht University, The Netherlands.
